This position is for our onsite print center on the campus of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania - Bloomsburg Campus

We have a temporary position available (8 weeks) in our digital print and sign location on the campus of Bloomsburg University.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various printing and bindery equipment and ensuring high-quality output that meets client specifications. The Print Operator will collaborate closely with the client to execute layouts and prepare files for print production.

Job Duties

● Operates high volume copy machines and performs binding and finishing work.

● Ensures copiers are working properly, checking for quality via daily inspections.

● Clears paper jams and informs technicians of specific problems.

● Answers customer questions regarding job requests.

● Ensures upkeep print center ensuring paper and supplies are ordered in a timely manner.

● Learn the proper technique to operate various print shop equipment.

● Perform quality control checks on produced parts

● Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the printing process to minimize downtime.

● Monitor the printing process to ensure consistency in color management and layout design.

● Conduct prepress tasks such as file setup, proofing, and adjustments as necessary.

● Assist clients with any printing issues or questions they may have.

We will provide training and support for this temporary position. Experience in graphic design or with printing or sign equipment is a plus.

The timeline includes a two week training period with the current team member.

The print center is managed by AlphaGraphics Lehigh Valley, with full support provided daily to assist with completion of projects.
